About
Welcome to my website. I am a visual artist who lives in Louisville, Kentucky with my wife and daughter. This is my online home base; a digital gallery of works, new and old, from throughout my life as an Artist. Most of the work on here was made before 2006. I was born in 1970. It's only been in the last 6 months that I have begun to re-immerse myself in making Art work induced by who I am now. Flailing, with weakened wings and shotty eyesight, would be an accurate way to describe me at this time.
BIO
I was born in Georgia and have spent most of my life digging around the Southeastern United States. I grew up in a small, tight family unit whose passions swirled around the creative arts, athletics and sarcasm.
I began drawing and painting at an early age and continued to pursue it through my teen years both in class and on my own. I received my B.F.A. in Painting from Mississippi State University and my M.F.A. in Painting from the University of Mississippi.
My professional experience includes teaching drawing, design and painting for over ten years as a college instructor at the undergraduate and graduate levels. I've also worked in newspaper and advertising design, graphic design, illustration, cosmetic prosthetics and creative and recreational therapeutic rehabilitation.
WHAT'S THE HAPS?
I am currently renovating an old post office in what used to be the Prestonia Neighborhood here in Louisville near Camp Taylor and Audobon Park. This will be my physical base: my workshop. gallery and teaching space.
If you have comments or questions please contact me. I'd love to hear from you.
